Huddle rooms can be found on floors one – four of the Zachry Engineering Education Complex. We recommend finding one on the second or third floor, near the central Learning Stairs. This stop will also feature our common labs (rooms 324 or 224).
Huddle Rooms and Common Labs
Collaboration is key, and with the right tools, the possibilities are endless. Our huddle rooms are available for students to reserve for group or individual work, while the common labs provide the equipment and technology for students to problem-solve creatively.

Spaces like these huddle rooms are available throughout the building for engineering students to reserve as needed or ahead of time to study, and work on group projects or homework. Students can utilize the building reservation system to reserve these spaces during building hours.
The common labs consist of 30,000 square feet of space that is spread out across floors one – three. These spaces allow students to work alongside other undergraduate students from different majors, an experience that will translate seamlessly to students’ careers after they graduate. About 4,000 students have labs in Zachry each semester and the labs are among the shared spaces shared by our departments. The technology found in the common labs allows our students to have more flexibility to work in the labs on their own schedule.
