As students step inside a learning studio, instead of desks, the Zachry Engineering Education Complex (ZACH) learning studios offer technology worktables with wireless connectivity and multidevice sharing screens. Each worktable accommodates up to four students and their devices.”We have rethought the classroom experience to accommodate today’s technology-savvy students,” said M. Katherine Banks, vice chancellor and dean.
The Zachry building is one of the largest active learning spaces in the country with 18 96-person learning studios, 14 48-person learning studios, one, 36-person learning studios and five 24-person learning studios.

Did you know? The Zachry Engineering Education Complex is the largest academic building on campus, large enough for two Boeing 747s placed end to end.
