Here at the Texas A&M University College of Engineering, students can select a major until the end of their first year. Students spend a year in the general engineering program and learn about all the different majors before they have to make a decision. At the end of their first year, students go through a process called Entry to a Major (ETAM) where they apply to the departments of their choice. Typically, 80% of students were admitted to their top choice and 90% were admitted to either their first or second choice. The advising office helps students with course selection, course questions and the ETAM process. Students can schedule an appointment with the advising office on their website.
The HPE tech deck is a roof-top green space located on the fourth floor of the Zachry Engineering Education Complex. With shaded seating, luscious greenery and sprawling views, this space is perfect for gathering, studying and relaxing.
