“I like how it’s open and you can see what’s going on in the rooms and labs. It’s complex and intricate, and I can already feel it’s going to be a positive learning environment. I’m excited to gain more skills and attributes to enhance my career prospects.”
— Jeremiah Lockhart ’22
“I wasn’t a big fan of the (engineering activity buildings) because they were small, so I’m excited to be in a much bigger space. I like how it’s meant to be interconnected, with the clubs and organizations based out of this building.”
— Keely Chacon ’21, mechanical engineering

“It’s definitely more than I expected. I’m excited about the common labs. I think this building will encourage more collaboration on multidisciplinary projects. The EIC (Engineering Innovation Center) tried to do that, but it never had enough space.”
— Ian Tallerine ’18, aerospace engineering
“I’m already proud to be an engineer at Texas A&M, but seeing this building, that pride just skyrockets. I’m going to spend all of my time here.”
— Lanise Williams ’20, industrial and systems engineering

“I really like what they’ve done with the art. I can tell they spent lots of time working on the design and open spaces and it has paid off.”
— Jonah Taylor ’21
“I’m a first-generation student from a small town. We didn’t have anything like this. It’s so cool. There’s lots of technology and endless ways to learn. I never really had access to this much technology, so I’m ready to dive into all of it.”
— Kennon Wishert ’22

“I like the open classroom concept; it’s collaborative and you don’t have to crane your neck to see the board. With the art and open space, we look like a west coast tech school.”
— Mike Le ’19, electrical engineering
“It’s very impressive. I like how it’s a facility for all engineering students. Freshmen can interact with upperclassmen, ask them questions and learn from them.”
— Emma deBlonk ’20, civil engineering
