The Zachry Engineering Education Complex was completed in August of 2018 and is a 525,000-square-foot complex that completely modernizes the original Zachry building. Around 13,000 students have at least one class in Zachry each semester. The building is considered to be a “home base” for the Texas A&M University College of Engineering as it is shared by all of our departments, several of our student programs and numerous resources for students to take advantage of.
The College of Engineering prioritized putting as many of our resources as possible into one place to make it more convenient for our engineering students. The Anadarko Engineering Career Center provides comprehensive career development, as well as planning resources and services to all students in the College of Engineering.
The College of Engineering integrated an art program within Zachry to encourage creativity, innovation and promote cross-disciplinary initiatives in education and research. The art program entails site-specific works of art created by visionary artists who conceptually draw inspiration from science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The goal of the College of Engineering art program is to engage the students, faculty and alumni by inspiring exploration, inventiveness and enterprise. Information regarding all art pieces in the building may be found by scanning the QR code found at every art installation.
